This book was much better than I had anticipated; when I started it I wasn’t sure where it was going. It wasn’t a dark and brooding Gothic, nor a happy romance, but it was suspenseful and at times sinister.

Like the other books I’ve read by this author, this was a very quick read. I loved the character development and the intricate storytelling. I absolutely hated the main antagonist, and there was a rather vague ending where you can only hope to fill in the pieces from what’s missing with your own imagination. Overall, I really enjoyed this story.

Book 29/40
